The most anticipated games of June 2016

These are the games you would want to be playing next month

    Mirror’s Edge Catalyst

The long-due sequel to the 2008 parkour game Mirror’s Edge, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting June 7 in North America and June 9 in Europe. The game will be more of a reboot than a sequel and follow Faith as she tries to bring down the evil corporations of the city of Glass. What makes this entry interesting is that it makes use of DICE’s in-house developed Frostbite 3 engine that is also being used for Battlefield 1. The first entry used Unreal 3.

    7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die

The fantastic developer Telltale released this survival horror experience on PC a few years back, and it's finally coming to PS4 sometime in June. The game is centered around surviving a horde of zombies by preparing defenses during the day and then defending yourself at night. You will need to find food and water to stay alive, and the zombies get increasingly stronger as time goes on, so there's always a level of tension that only gets higher as you refuse to succumb to the apocalypse. Environments are randomly generated, so no two games will ever be the same, giving you plenty of replayability options as you try to survive longer than any other human ever has.

    Mighty No. 9

Keiji Inafune’s, the creator of Mega Man, Mighty No. 9 will be released on June 21 and June 24 in North America and Europe on a number of current-gen and previous-gen platforms, including but not limited to PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, with handheld versions to follow at a later date. The game bears a close resemblance to Mega Man, gameplay-wise and appearance-wise. It follows an android named Beck as he tries to save hos planet from an evil virus.

    God Eater: Resurrection

God Eater Resurrection is an updated version of 2010’s God Eater Burst and feature the story of that game and some new content. It will be available as a download-only title in North America starting June 28 on PS4 and PS Vita, with a PC version to follow on August 20.

    Umbrella Corps

Capcom’s next entry in its popular Resident Evil franchise will be a spin-off multiplayer-based survival horror shooter titled Umbrella Corps. It will be available on PC and PS4 on June 21 in North America And Europe. The game is more action-oriented than all its predecessors and lets players use first-person view alongside third-person view, classic to Resident Evil. It also features historic Resident Evil themes and environments. And there will be zombies, too.
